PlumbGas are a well-established local company who enjoy excellent reputation for delivering quality work and customer service in the Stafford area. Due to expansion we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled engineer, who takes pride in their work and focuses on detail and accuracy.

The right person can expect to have a stable position in a thriving business and earn a competitive salary. A fully expensed company vehicle will be provided, paid holidays and ongoing training requirement’s catered for.

The right person will also be confident and skilled with experience in bathroom fitting, tiling and plumbing design and installation.


Start date  November 2017

Job type  Full time – Fixed Term 12 Months contract with likeliness of full time employment at the end

Salary  Competitive rates of pay depending on experience + company vehicle & paid holidays

Location  Stafford and surrounding areas (within a 20 minute radius)

(The role will involve some late nights, weekend work and emergency call outs)


Your Day-today duties will include:

  • Installing appliances and systems
  • Carrying out planned maintenance checks on systems and equipment
  • Testing controls and safety devices to make sure they’re working properly
  • Finding and repairing gas leaks
  • Replacing or repairing faulty old parts
  • Ordering new parts
  • Keeping records of work you’ve carried out
  • Giving customer advice about gas safety and energy efficiency
  • Giving customer quotes for jobs
  • Selling additional company services
  • Dealing with complaints

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in a relevant role
  • The ability to work on your own unaccompanied
  • Current qualifications in plumbing
  • Recognised Gas Industry Level 3 Qualification (Current gas qualifications)
  • Gas Safe Registration – previous or current
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Practical skills
  • Communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Basic IT skills and good maths skills for making calculations
  • The ability to follow technical layouts and diagrams
  • The confidence to make decisions and accept responsibility
